Extra photos for the week

Here are some extra photos for the week. I did some slight editing on my dog's photo.

These two photos are from Conway Park. I was just wasting some time and took a few pictures.

New self-portrait

I decided to try a new self-portrait. I didn't like my first one because it was something I put together super quick. My plan to take a self-portrait outside that day was shot when it was raining. I wanted to do another version using a collection of things that are about me.
1. The eyeshadow pallet: I absolutely love makeup. I want to be a makeup artist someday.
2. Cactus: I absolutely love plants. It has really become one of my favorite hobbies.
3. Laptop: I am constantly using my computer. I am on the internet constantly.
4. Sunglasses: I wear my sunglasses all the time. I can't go anywhere without them.
5. Bracelets: I wear quite a bit of jewelry. I am quite the girly girl.
6. Cellphone: I don't go anywhere without my cell phone. Also, I am in a long distance relationship, so my cell phone is a huge part of my life.
7. Wooden spoon, can opener, and measuring cup: I love to cook. I think it is so enjoyable and rewarding. I hate the cleanup, but preparing a good meal for people makes me happy.
8. Pink sheet: I love the color pink. I think everything is better in pink!!

Photos I Like

For my next assignment, I am to find 5 photos that I like that someone else took. I tried to find 5 different types of photo that I like. Here are my 5:

I love this photo of this child. I love the innocence in her eyes. She is such a mess yet so cute and put together.

M Grace-Martin

I love pictures of older people or even homeless people. I think the detail you can capture is incredible. The detail in this old man's hands is great! I don't know why many of these photos catch my eye, but I love photos that have a lot of brown tones to them.

This is a photo that I think is a great "couple in love" photo. I love couple photography. There are so many great things you can do with couples. I love the expressions on their faces.

Ever since I started seeing pregnancy/maternity photography, I have just loved it. Who would have ever thought that seeing a bare pregnant belly would be appealing? I love the bare belly photos taken these days. The photo is not at all about the mother, but about the belly and what bundle of joy is inside.

This is my last photo I chose. I tried to find a different photo with the same look, but I couldn't find anything. This is a photo taken by Lisa Hessel (my photog teacher) and I loved it when I saw it. I love the look of the girl and guy legs together. I also love the look of the girl on her tippy toes and the red shoes. The white stairs couldn't be more perfect for this shot too.

Self-portrait

I am starting a Photography class at Missouri Baptist University this semester and my first assignment is to take a self-portrait. This is my self-portrait that I took. I was having a hard time coming up with something I thought represented me. I finally thought of working with a wall decoration in my bedroom. It was raining outside so I couldn't take any photos outside. This represents all my hopes and dreams that I currently have. I am graduating in a few months and my life is just beginning. This is my chance to achieve all my dreams.
